Being black is not the reason!

http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id/11815891/bernard-hopkins-says-race-reason-pursuit-history-transcended-boxing

I read this article on Espn about Bernard Hopkins stating that his pursuit of history was being ignored because he is "black." As I got to the last word in this article I was disgusted, not because of the content, but because Bernard Hopkins pulled the color card in a situation where I believe shouldn't have been used. I have no problem with people of a different race or color, but for this boxer to say that he is being ignored by the color of his skin is, crap! The sport itself has seen a decline in viewers and followers of the sport because of the increased popularity of the Ultimate Fighting Championship a.k.a. U.F.C. I was one of those people that stopped watching the sport of boxing because U.F.C. is more entertaining. I understand what racism is, but for Bernard Hopkins to say what he said is complete ignorant. I don’t think he took in consideration; because of the sports decline it wouldn't matter that he has the record for being the oldest boxer with this unified titles. This is the year 2014 and its time we look past the color of the skin and let the eyes see the inside of another.

My Reflections

I stare at you as you stare at me
I wonder why you constantly
Follow me!
Like my shadow you’re equally mad at me
You stab me with your words
With an arrow
Curse me while I am in front of you
What have I done to you?
I’ve only lived to forget and not forgive
But you live to forgive and not forget
Why do you do things like me?
Yet do it so differently
Frequently mad at the world
Mad at people
For things that are out of control
Where is your soul?
Why does the body pay the toll?
My goal is to let you see what you have become
My goal is to show you what you’re doing
I speak as you seek
Because living with you is unique
I try and critique
Your own thoughts suddenly bewildered at
My own cost
Because everything is your fault &
You should be locked away in a vault
Throw away the key
And set me free
Only when you glare at me with
Those eyes that can impair my own stare
Is when I want to care
Through the night
You’re high as a kite
I’m always wrong
You’re always right
Why do you look like me?
A victory is near
Yet you want to fight me
Why do you wish to destroy me?
Why do you wish to break me?
Do I annoy you?
All because I exploit you
You want me to fall into pieces like shattered glass
Just so you can harass and trash the truth
Infected by neglections
Now I see who is talking
It is you my reflections!!!!
